With 2012 seeing both the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics being celebrated, there’s never been a better year to host the Epworth and District Agricultural Show and its celebration of country heritage, traditions and values this August Bank Holiday.
Taking place on the Epworth Show Field on August 27 it is already shaping up to be a date to remember for this year’s diary.
Kicking off on the Bank Holiday Monday, for the 66th year, the show will again play host to world famous Titan the Robot, as well as a number of attractions.
“Last year we were absolutely stunned at just how many people attended the show and were delighted when we realised it’d broken all previous attendance records - incredible for an event that, this year, will have been running for sixty six years,” explains Dave Hayes, Chairman of the Epworth and District Agricultural Society.
“The Jubilee and the Olympics both taking place this year guarantees the summer of 2012 to be one of huge celebrations in the UK, and we’re determined to make the Epworth and District Agricultural Show the perfect way to round off the country heritage festivities.”
In addition, there is also an auction and raffle on Saturday, August 25.
* The society is hosting Saddle Shows on May 20 and June 24.
