THE Salvation Army in Wath-upon-Dearne is urging people to get stuck into something messy - Messy Church.
Lieutenant Catherine Dodd, leader of The Salvation Army branch, is launching the new alternative ways of worship for families who may not do ‘traditional church’.
Catherine said: “It is a fun, high energy meeting place to draw people together, based around storytelling, music, creative craft, games, puppets and free food and drinks.
“It’s aimed at all ages and so adults are welcome accompanied by children and vice versa.
“It promises to be a creative, hands-on experience of celebrating Christmas.”
The first Messy Church session will take place at the Salvation Army Hall in West Street on Sunday, December 11, at 10.30am.
It is free to attend.
