A special week to encourage people of all ages to get computer savvy takes place from Monday.

North Lincolnshire’s ongo is supporting local people with their digital skills by holding informal drop in sessions.

These will take place at the company’s Customer Service Centre on Cole Street, Scunthorpe, throughout the week ; 9am -5pm Monday – Wednesday, 10am – 5pm Thursday and 9am-4.30pm Friday.

Be Online Week is a national initiative, with the aim of helping people all over the UK to make the most of getting online and using the internet to improve their skills and manage their health.

A digital team from ongo will hold the informal drop-in sessions, and will be on hand for a chat about all things digital during these times.

Annie Akande, Digital Services Manager at ongo, said: “We know that tenants who aren’t online are missing out! These sessions are completely free and designed to cater for complete beginners or those who just need a little extra help using the many services the internet has to offer.

“You can bring your own device along if you wish, or we’ll have devices available to practise on.”
