Isle residents can get their dogs micro-chipped for free.
Staff from North Lincolnshire Council will be available at the pay and display car park, Church Street, Epworth, on Thursday, January 23, from 11am to 3pm.
They will also be at the pay and display car park on Potts Lane, Crowle, on Thursday, March 20, from 11am to 3pm.
There is no need for dog owners to book an appointment. Just turn up on the day.
Councillor Nigel Sherwood, cabinet member for highways and heighbourhood, said: “This is excellent that even more dogs in North Lincolnshire will be able to get micro-chipped for free. Dog owners should take advantage of this before it becomes compulsory for all dogs to be chipped.
“The last micro-chipping session in Scunthorpe was extremely popular with 103 dogs being chipped. Therefore we wanted to provide people with other opportunities to get their dog chipped by working with Dogs Trust again.
“It is important that you get your dog chipped – it can save a lot of heartache and enables your pet to be traced back to you should it be stolen. A collar and tag is still law and you must have an up-to-date ID tag with the dog owners contact details.
“This allows anyone finding a stray dog to contact the owner and reunite them.”
