A LEGEND of the Doncaster riding scene who has helped hundreds of novices start out in the saddle has died.
Much-loved horse Rocky died on Sunday after 32 years at the Sandall Beat Riding Stables.
Sandra Crabtree, who describes herself as one of his “mums”, said: “He was a scamp right to the end, enjoying his time in the field. Only last week he ‘escaped’ into the next field to go bucking and cantering round with his new found freedom.”
Rocky - a Piebald Cob - even had his own Facebook fanbase with 60 friends, and his favourite films were listed as Black Beauty and Horse Whisperer.
