Legendary comedian, Lee Evans, is one of Britain’s most successful comedians and he arrives in the region this week again with his new tour.

Monsters is Lee’s amazing new show with over fifty nights in the biggest arenas in the country.

Lee’s manic energy, uncanny observations, hilarious delivery and side-splitting material have made his live performances a must-see for comedy fans worldwide. His tours and DVD releases year-on-year continue to smash sales and box office records.

From 2002 to 2011 alone he has performed to over 1,605,000 people through his four live arena shows

2 nik’s anniversary tour

Eighties pop hero, Nik Kershaw, is set to wow crowds in the region this week with his anniversary tour. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of his first chart success, Nik will performs songs and tells tales from his impressive career and takes (potentially) awkward questions from the audience.

This is a rare opportunity to experience an intimate evening with the man, famously described by Elton John as, “the best song writer of a generation”.

3 all the racing loving ladies

It’s time to don that hat and put on your best dress for Ladies Day, which takes places at Doncaster Racecourse today.

Ladies day is always one of the highlights of the annual St Leger Festival, and of Doncaster’s social calender.

So why not pamper yourself and have a thoroughly have a great day at the races with friends.

Along with the racing there will also be live music in the Grandstand Enclosure and County Enclosure throughout the day and continuing for around 90 minutes after the last race.

The Drifters are one of the longest running brands in music with over 60 years under their collective belt - and now the fantastic group are set to play in Scunthorpe.

The Drifters have seen massive chart success across the world with over 114 million album sales and 214 million single sales, with a vast catalogue of hits, the most recent in 2011 with Sony Music.

With over 65 members in 60 years the brand has gone from strength to strength.

People attending can expect to hear hits such as Under The Boardwalk, Saturday Night At The Movies, Up On The Roof, and Come On Over To My Place.

5 Fond memories of tommy

The Doncaster Blues festival returns to the borough this week for its fourth all day musical extravaganza.

This time round acts on the bill include Roger Chapman who is most famous for being in the prog-rock band Family.

Punk forefathers, Eddie and the Hot Rods will also take to the stage, along with singer-songwriters Doug McLeod, Matt Woosey and festival favourites Baba Jack.

Performances at the festival will continue throughout the day.
