The 17-year-old had been a member of the Ferryboat Junior Fishing Club since he was 11, and had fished in Scotland and Holland. He died alongside his girlfriend Lauren Birkett and Jonathan Scott when the car they were travelling in crashed on December 27.
Mourners at Robert’s funeral donated a total of £815 to the fishing club which he loved. Club leaders John Tingle and Terry Galvin described him as a “terrific lad” and thanked his friends and family for their donations.
