Firefighters called to series of South Yorkshire arson attacks

Firefighters dealt with a series of arson attacks in South Yorkshire overnight.

A scooter was found burning in Fenton Road, Kimberworth Park, Rotherham shortly before 8pm yesterday evening.

Less than an hour later, a crew from Cudworth station were called to Kingsmark Way, in Goldthorpe, where a pile of cut grass had been deliberately set on fire.

Firefighters from Doncaster station extinguished a car fire in Mexborough. They were called to the Isuzu, on York Street, at 9.45pm.

Crews also dealt with two wheelie bin fire in the early hours of the morning.

The first was on Columbia Street, Worsbrough Common at 4.50am this morning and the second on Rosehill Road, Rawmarsh at 6.30am.
