Firefighters dealt with a derelict garage set alight in an arson attack in Sheffield.

The blaze in Bevan Way, Chapeltown, was discovered at 12.30am today.

Crews also dealt with a derelict van torched in Grange Lane, Cundy Cross, Barnsley; a pile of rubbish set alight in Lidget Lane, Thurnscoe, Barnsley and a skip set on fire in Doncaster Road, Kirk Sandall, Doncaster.

Arsonists also set fire to a tree in Overend Close, Gleadless Valley, Sheffield.
