Fire crews were called out to a field in Rossington after a bale of hay was deliberately set on fire.

Officers from Doncaster station attended at the scene in Stripe Road at about 7.45pm last night and used water packs and beaters to put out the flames, some distance from the road.

About an hour later, crews were back at the scene after neaby scrubland and straw was deliberately set ablaze.

It is thought the incidents were linked.
