Residents old and young got into the festive spirit at two Christmas celebration events.

Parents and toddlers gathered at the Rainbow Centre in Thurnscoe for a Christmas bazaar.

Visitors enjoyed looking around a range of stalls, refreshments and youngsters also got stuck into the toy box.

Meanwhile, over at the Dearne Valley Care Centre in Bolton-on-Dearne, elderly residents held their own party.

The festive-themed coffee morning saw residents enjoy refreshments, mince pies and a little bit of Christmas music.

Friends, relatives and carers were also invited in, while Dearne MP John Healey was also in attendance.
