A FOOTBALL fan arrested for racial abuse in yesterday’s match between Doncaster Rovers and Blackpool has been fined £80.
The supporter, an away fan, was dealt with by police officers during the Championship tie at the Keepmoat Stadium.
A 17-year-old Doncaster person was also ejected from the ground. Police are consulting with the force solicitor, the club and Keepmoat Stadium Management with a view to applying for a banning order.
Joanne Moss, a football liaison officer for South Yorkshire Police, posted on Twitter today: “#DRFC After investigation 22yr old Blackpool fan given £80 fixed penalty ticket for public order offence”.
