Three people needed treatment after a weekend house fire in Balby, Doncaster.

Firefighters were called to a house on Warmsworth Road on Saturday evening after reports of a chip pan going up in flames.

An adult and two young girls were in the property and were given oxygen before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

The fire was put out with a hose before the Edlington and Doncaster crews ventilated the house.

A fire outside a dental surgery in Sprotbrough is being treated as arson.

Doncaster crews were called to Somersby Avenue just before 12.30am today and found a burning waste bin had also caused damage to the exterior of the premises.
