A van driver from Epworth was injured in a head-on collision on the A18 at Thorne early this morning.
Another woman was airlifted to hospital in Sheffield after the 7.05am smash.
The woman, a 34-year-old from Thorne, was driving a silver Peugeot towards Scunthorpe when the collision with a white Iveco van occurred at the High Levels Bank junction with Crow Tree Bank.
She suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to the Northern General Hospital, where she is said to be in a `stable’ condition.
The van driver, who had been travelling in the opposite direction, is a 57-year-old man from Epworth, Doncaster. He suffered whiplash injuries and was treated at the Doncaster Royal Infirmary, before being allowed home.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision.
