SUNSEEKERS taking advantage of the surprise warm weather have been warned not to endanger their lives by swimming in dangerous reservoirs.
Temperatures are expected to soar across the country over the next few days with Doncaster set to bask in more glorious sunshine.
And it has led Yorkshire Water to remind customers not to be tempted by taking a dip in its reservoirs.
The firm said the water is extremely dangerous due to chilling temperatures and strong undercurrents beneath the surface.
Geoff Lomas, Yorkshire Water’s recreation and catchment manager, said: “What began as a day out in the sunshine can turn to tragedy within minutes if you decide to take a dip.
“It really doesn’t matter how well you can swim - it’s the cold which can kill you.”
