Sixth form unveiled

PUPILS will be walking into a new state-of-the-art £1 million centre for their sixth form studies.

Following months of renovation, the modern building at Hill House School will open its doors to years 12 and 13 on Monday.

The three-storey centre, built by contractors R J Cadman Construction, is based alongside tennis courts at its Sixth Avenue site and has an open plan common room, cafe and diner, seminar rooms, careers library and sports facilities.

The grand opening at the beginning of next week will mark almost 100 years to the day when the Auckley school was founded in the borough.
