ARTY Dearne Valley College students have used cardboard to make super-sized sculptures of creatures from the deep.
They teamed up with paper sculptor Philip Cox to create their large scale artworks within organised workshops.
The art and design students were inspired to create weird and wonderful cardboard sculptures of underwater creatures, after a visit to The Deep and Ferens Art Gallery in Hull.
They made models of a jelly fish, sea horse, sea turtle and a star fish amongst others.
Art and Design tutor Frances Culley said: “The workshop has been a real success in terms of the students working together as a group to produce exciting large scale sculptures and in giving them the opportunity to work with an experienced sculptor.”
