A mini sports day and a number of fun sessions are being planned to keep kids fit and active this summer.
The mini sports day, which is for young people aged 10 and under, will be held at the Central Children’s Centre, Welcome Way, Doncaster, on August 14 between 10am and 2pm. A £100 donation from Doncaster Lions has bought more than 70 toys for the kids to get active with on the day and staff will be handing out fresh fruit to all young people who take part.
There will also be two Activekids taster sessions running at The Central Children’s Centre on August 13 and August 20 between 1pm and 3pm, but parents must also attend.
In addition, there is a Get up and Go session running at The Children’s Centre, Junction Road, Stainforth, on August 13th between 1pm and 3pm. The session aims to get kids running about to keep them fit, with a variety of games and equipment. Parents must attend to supervise their own children.
The events have been planned by staff from Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).
