It was smiles all round at a Doncaster Primary School this week with pupils and staff grinning from ear to ear.
Youngsters at Hawthorn Primary School in Cantley learned how to keep clean and tidy – including how to brush their teeth the correct way.
School nursing support workers from Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) were on hand to help the pupils mark their school’s activity week.
The support workers covered personal hygiene – from taking regular baths and showers to washing hands before meals, after stroking pets and after going to the toilet.
RDaSH support worker, Linda Newton, said: “We enjoyed working with the young people aged from five to 11. We covered basic hygiene in a fun and informative way and the young people asked lots of questions and gave us lots of answers too. We had a great day with them.”
The youngsters also took part in a range of other activities during the activity week with other agencies including basketball sessions and cheerleading.
