Pupils at Edlington Victoria Primary School were given the chance to grill a former Government minister when MP Caroline Flint dropped in to visit.
Youngsters at the school asked Ms Flint, who represents Don Valley, about her job - and her choices in jewellery!
Ms Flint said: “What I love about primary schools is the children ask exactly what is on their mind, so one pupil asked how much jewellery I own.
“What a brilliant question! I think headteacher Janice Middleton is determined that one of her pupils will be inspired to want to be a future MP.
“The children seemed impressed that one of Doncaster’s councillors was elected at the age of 23.”
She also told pupils about her work on the Martinwells Lake clean-up project.
