DAVE Benson Phillips will be back once more to host this summer’s Rotherham Children’s Festival.
Thousands of people visited Magna last year to view the work done in Rotherham’s schools, within a series of events linked together by the charismatic TV funny man.
Mr Benson Phillips said he likes Rotherham because of its “sense of community, ambition and enterprise” – and because people laugh at his jokes!
The Roscars will form part of the festival on July 14.
Last year 160 schools entered the competition, and this year four main categories will include Film Fact, Film Fiction, Stop Motion Animation and Digital Animation.
The festival will also feature a new Rotherham’s Got Talent section.
Rotherham Council spokesman Paul Lakin said: “The challenge in 2011 is to do even better”.
