Hundreds of pupils across South Yorkshire are collecting their GCSE results today in what is expected to be a record breaking year.

Nationally, the proportion of A* to C grades rose to 69 per cent, up from 68.8 per cent last year, but A* grades fell slightly.

Here are the results across the region as they are announced.

SHEFFIELD

Silverdale School in Bents Green - 75 per cent pass rate of pupils achieving five or more GCSE A* to C grades including English and maths - a four per cent increase on last year.

Outwood Academy City in Stradbroke - A* to C grades including English and maths pass rate rose by 13 per cent to 68 per cent.

Tapton School in Crosspool - an 81 per cent pass rate, including English and maths - an increase of three per cent on last year.

Notre Dame Catholic High School in Fulwood - the benchmark pass rate is 78 per cent, with 85 per cent achieving five A* to C grades and 99 per cent five or more passes, including English and maths.

UTC Sheffield - 71.6 per cent of entries graded A* to C or equivalent, with 81.2 per cent achieving an A* to C in maths and 87 per cent achieving A* to C in science. The pass rate at A* to C or equivalent for technical qualifications is 88 per cent.

Sheffield Park Academy in Manor - 64 per cent pass rate achieving five or more A* to C grades including English and maths.

Sheffield Springs Academy in Arbourthrone - 40 per cent of students have achieved five or more A* to C grades including English and maths – an increase of four per cent on last year.

Stocksbridge High School in Stocksbridge - 58 per cent pass rate of pupils achieving five or more A* to C grades including English and maths.

Fir Vale School in Fir Vale - 46 per cent pass rate at A* to C including English and maths - a 6.5 per cent increase on last year’s results.

Firth Park Academy in Shiregreen - 49 per cent pass rate at A* to C including English and maths - a nine per cent increase on last year.

King Edward VII in Broomhill - 61 per cent pass at A* to C including English and maths, down one per cent on last year.

Birley Community College in Birley - 47 per cent pass rate of five or more grades at A* to C including English and maths. The overall pass rate is 98 per cent.

High Storrs in Bents Green - One in five students achieving 10 or more grades at C or above. The overall percentage for five A* to C has dipped compared to last year.

Sheffield High School in Broomhill - 98 per cent pass rate A* to C - 74 per cent were A and A* grades and more than 92 per cent of results A* to B.

Birkdale School in Broomhill - 100 per cent pass rate of A* to C grades in 14 subjects.

Meadowhead School in Meadowhead - at least 64 per cent of pupils have achieved five A* to C grades including English and maths - an increase on last year’s 61 per cent.

Bradfield School in Bradfield - 58 per cent at A* to C including English and maths.

Westfield School in Sothall - 54 per cent of five or more passes A* to C including English and maths - an increase of nine per cent on last year.

ROTHERHAM

Wingfield Academy in Kimberworth - 63 per cent pass rate of five or more A* to C grades, including English and maths - an increase of 25 per cent on last year. Five A* to C grades passes have increased by eight per cent to 66 per cent.

Wales High School in Wales - 65 per cent A* to C including English and maths - a 3.7 per cent increase on 2014 results. Five A* to C grades passes have increased by 8.4 per cent to 75.7 per cent.

Clifton Comprehensive - increase of 14.6 per cent to 43 per cent achieving five A* to C grades including English and maths. Five A* to C grades passes have increased by 13.4 per cent to 52 per cent.

Dinnington High School, in Dinnington - 54 per cent pass rate for five or more A* to C grades, and further 47 per cent of pupils achieving five or more GCSE grades A* to C, including English and maths.

BARNSLEY

Penistone Grammar School in Penistone - Earlier indications show a minimum of 70 per cent achieving five A* to C including English and maths.

DERBYSHIRE

Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School in Dronfield - 84 per cent pass rate of five or more A* to C grades including English and maths - up four per cent on last year.

Hope Valley College in Hope - 66 per cent of students gained five or more A* to C grades, including English and maths - with 37 per cent of students achieving at least three A or A* grades.
