The spirit of Christmas was well and truly in the air at Haxey C of E Primary School.
Youngsters from different year groups donned their costumes for a series of performances all with a traditional nativity theme.
An audience full of fellow pupils, parents and teachers were wowed by the shows entitled ‘Hosanna Rocks!’ and ‘What Christmas Means To Me’.
More than 150 pupils took part in three shows, which were the culmination of weeks of rehearsals.
Teacher Juliet Mancey, 40, of Crowle, said: “The performances went down really well with everyone in the audience and the children absolutely loved it.
“They all did really well and it was nice to see all of their hard work come to fruition.”
She added: “We wanted to project the true meaning of Christmas.
“Aside from the presents and Christmas trees, there is a Christian message which is important to remember.
“But we also wanted the children to have fun. A lot of the songs we featured were very upbeat.
“It was nice to see so many smiling faces.”
