A DONCASTER children’s centre is celebrating the results of a recent Ofsted inspection.

The overall result was ‘good’ for Askern Children’s Centre with some aspects judged ‘outstanding’.

Ofsted inspectors found “as a result of the passion and commitment made by managers and staff, this children’s centre is making a good contribution to improving the lives of families within the centre’s reach area”.

The centre’s effectiveness of its work with key agencies around child safeguarding was found to be ‘outstanding’, as was its partnership working with other agencies.

Pam Ley, children’s centre manager, said: “We’re all really pleased with the results.”
