The National Apprenticeship Service and the Rotherham Work and Skills Board have embarked on a new initiative to increase apprenticeships in South Yorkshire.
Between February and May this year, they aim to get 100 local companies committing to recruit or to start to train 100 apprentices in 100 days.
Businesses are now being encouraged to come forward and sign up for the scheme. Nick Wilson, Regional Director for the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS), said: “In an increasingly competitive world, apprenticeships are one of the very best and most cost-effective ways for employers to grow their own talent.”
Any business owners who would like to join in the scheme should contact Mike Long at the National Apprenticeship Service on 0114 267 5069/07795 827015 or email email@example.com.
