An ecovision project at a Dearne academy has helped towards a ‘good’ Ofsted rating with outstanding features - up from its former ‘satisfactory’.

Bolton’s Dearne Carrfield Primary was visited for the first time since the school became an academy.

Head Steve Poxton said: “We were pleased with the report. Our clear vision was noted, and ecovision is part of that. For this we partnered with Dearne Valley Groundwork, and are aiming for Green Flag status.”
