A kind-hearted teacher has had 13 inches of her hair cut off for charity.

Laura Hamill, a teacher at Lakeside Village Primary School, had her haircut by Naomi Naidu of Capelli’s hairdressers, Cantley, as part of her fundraising efforts for Myeloma UK.

Laura, aged 23, has been raising funds since friend Michelle Porter was diagnosed with the incurable form of bone marrow cancer.

The cut-off ponytail will be donated to the Little Princess Trust charity, who provide wigs for young cancer sufferers.
