The man killed on a Doncaster railway line last Friday has been named.

He was 29-year-old Craig Bennett, who lived in Arksey.

Mr Bennett died in the early hours of June 28 when he was in collision with a DB Schenker freight train on the East Coast mainline near Arksey Lane level crossing.

The line was closed for more than an hour-and-a-half while investigations were carried out.

Doncaster Coroner Nicola Mundy is due to open an inquest into Mr Bennett’s death on Monday.
