If you go down to the woods on June 1 you’ll be in for a big surprise...because it will be full of teddy bears!

Doncaster youngsters are being invited to go down to Woodfield Park off Tickhill Road, Balby, with their parents or guardians to take part in a teddy bears’ picnic. And if they head to the site’s Victorian Tea Room with their teddy, they will receive a free drink and a cookie.

The aim of the day is to encourage Doncaster residents to enjoy the open space of Woodfield Park – which includes a woodland walk.

Wendy Parkes, Operations Manager for Flourish Enterprises, who run Woodfield Park and the tea room, said: “Why not come along with a picnic and enjoy the open space and woodland. And don’t forget to pop into the tea room to collect your drink and cookie!”
