Doncaster People’s Assembly to hold first meeting

The first meeting of the Doncaster People’s Assembly will be held next week.

The group, which seeks to end austerity policies, will hold its first meeting on Wednesday August 14 at the Women’s Centre in Cleveland Street at 7.30pm.

Supported by major unions including UNITE and UNISON, The People’s Assembly movement has campaign groups up and down the country and has also gained the support of commentators such as Owen Jones and Mark Steel, and MPs and MEPs from both the Labour Party and the Green Party.
