A teacher who has dedicated more than 60 years to her Doncaster dance school has been honoured with a special performance.

Irene Clark set up Irene Clark School of Dance, now based in White Rose Way, Lakeside, in 1954 when she was just 16. And to mark Miss Clark’s landmark anniversary staff and students put together a ‘secret show’. which was also arranged to mark Miss Clark’s 76th birthday. It was comprised of dances that have been choregraphed by Miss Clark as well as her favourite routines with past pupils also taking part.
