ORGANISERS of the Don Valley Festival are proud to be celebrating 100 years of arts, crafts and music.

The main event at the High Melton College is expected to attract hundreds of competitors and audiences to enjoy musical recitals and art displays tomorrow and on Sunday.

Organiser Dorothy Weaver said: “All of the committee members are very pleased to be involved on such a special year. We’re very grateful to all the committee members who have kept the festival going and we hope this is the start of another 100 years.”

A session ticket for this weekend costs £1. A male voice choir competition will take place at Wath Comprehensive on April 1.
