RAWMARSH

IT classes for the computer-shy run on Mondays at 10am and Thursdays at 5pm. Rhyme Time takes place at 11am on Fridays and is free to under five’s. Prior to that is the pat-a-cake playgroup, open to under fours’ for a nominal fee.

A TRIP to Cambridge has been organised by Rawmarsh and Me Unlimited, for Rawmarsh people, to Kings’ College, Cambridge, on March 26.

BUMPS and Babes’ Group meets Tuesdays from 1.30 to 3pm at Rawmarsh Children’s Centre, for parents to be and parents with children up to a year old.

SWINTON

A LENT discussion group will meet in St Margaret’s Lady Chapel on Tuesday at 7.30pm. The Said Eucharist on Friday at 11.30am will be followed by Stations of the Cross and a soup lunch. St Margaret’s choir is keen to recruit new members, anyone interested in joining is asked to attend choir practice, held every Wednesday in church at 6.45pm. There will be workshops for all children in the church hall on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, 10am-noon.

A KNIT and Natter group at Bethany Evangelical Church need more people who can knit to join them in a project to make hats and scarves for the shoebox appeal to send out to needy children in Europe in November.

CONISBROUGH

A MEETING for any elderly people from The Oval or Wellgate area who are concerned about a future without wardens will be held at the Place, Castle Street, on March 25, 10am-noon, with free tea and coffee. Volunteers from Community Spirit and other organisations will be there to talk through issues and gather residents’ views to put to the authorities.

The next session for the Blood Donors will take place in The Ivanhoe Centre on Friday, April 1, at 12.30pm.

Ivanhoe Centre Mums and Toddlers group will hold their Easter Party on Friday, April 8, from 9-11am. Admission of £3 will include a free Easter Egg, Easter Bonnet Competition and the Egg and Spoon race.
