A COFFEE morning, including a cake stall and bric-a-brac, will be held at St John’s Methodist Church on Saturday from 10am to noon. Proceeds will go to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance service. Open house on Wednesday from 10am to 3.30pm, with the sisterhood meeting at 1.45pm. This will be followed by a prayer meeting at the home of Mrs A Walker from 6-7pm.

ROYAL Dragoon Guards DVDs featuring the late James Leverett are on sale at the Star Inn along with arm bands. Proceeds to the Dragoons’ and Army Veterans’ funds.

MACMILLAN Cancer Support’s Mobile Information Centre with its team of specialists will be visiting Parkgate Shopping Centre from 10am-4pm on March 10 and 11. Anyone with a question or concern about cancer can step on board for a confidential chat, or to pick up information. The visit coincides with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and the service is free to everyone.

The Craganour Community Hall is now wheelchair-friendly after a major revamp by a band of volunteers led by Jim Tierney and his wife Joan. With new disabled toilets in place, the former bunglaow is now hosting a bingo an coffee session every Saturday morning at 10am. A further bingo session takes place on Tuesdays at 6.30pm.
