AUCTION Nights at The ‘Stute are now drawing in a large crowd. The auctions of catalogue returns, bric-a-brac and household items take place on Thursdays at 7pm, with the room opening for 6pm.

MARKET stalls are available at Denaby Market for individuals and charities wanting to hold a table-top sale on Wednesday morning. Tables are £7 each.

A FREE day of life-saving classes is taking place at the Dearne Valley Leisure Centre on June 25. The practical classes for children and adults, have been organised by the Royal Life Saving Society’s South Yorkshire branch. The classes run from 2-6pm. RAWMARSH

A DARTS marathon held by the Horse and Jockey Ladies’ team raised over £600 for Help the Heroes and local charities. The bumper fundraiser took place on May 28 and featured appearances from Dennis Priestley and Dean Winstanley.

BANDS who wish to appear at upcoming Rawmarsh festivals should reserve their place now at the Star pub. This year’s Beanfest, staged annually for charity in memory of Rob Crook (Bean), who lost his life in a car crash, takes place on July 2. The Star Fest will take place on August 13. Get in touch with Chris or Clare Thompson at the Star to request a slot, offer sponsorship or donate raffle prizes. Star Fest proceeds to the Royal Dragoon Guards and war veterans, in memory of the late James Leverett.

AN OUTLINE planning application has been submitted to the Council by a Rawmarsh couple, for the erection of six houses with garages at Craven Street, Parkgate.
