MEXBOROUGH

THE Parents and Toddlers’ Group meets weekly at Bank Street Methodist Church on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30-11am. Coffee morning on Saturday from 10am to noon. Girls Brigade is on Thursday at 6pm.

COFFEE morning is held at the Congregational Church every Saturday morning from 9.30-11.30am.

RAWMARSH

RAWMARSH paranormal investigators Project Reveal are undertaking ghost hunts/recordings around the area. This week they visited the Travellers’ Rest pub at Swinton.

WORK is to begin on a new £4.8m Rawmarsh Service Centre in two linked buildings on Barbers Avenue, providing a range of services.

These include a doctors’ surgery with treatment rooms, consulting areas and a pharmacy; a customer service centre with a library; a cafe; and sports changing facilities. Work starts on January 31.

BUMPS and Babes Group meets on Tuesdays, 1.30-3pm at Rawmarsh Children’s Centre, for parents-to-be and those with children up to a year old.

CONISBROUGH

THE Mother’s Union is looking for new members to join in community work. Anyone interested should either call in at St Peter’s Alpha Rooms on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9am-noon, or attend their next meeting in the hall on Wednesday, February 2.

CONISBROUGH Community Association will now hold their re-arranged Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, February 1, at 7.30pm at the Ivanhoe Centre.

Conisbrough Castle Archers are holding their Christmas shoot at the Scout Hut on January 28...but are swapping their bows and arrows for a computer game! The group has decided to make its annual shoot safe this year, by using a Nintendo Wii instead of their deadly weapons. There will be prizes for the best archers and refreshments. The fun starts at 2pm.
