THE Conisbrough Castle Archers are holding their Christmas shoot at the Scout Hut on January 28...but are swapping their bows and arrows for a computer game! The group has decided to make its annual shoot safe this year, by using a Nintendo Wii instead of their deadly weapons. There will be prizes for the best archers and refreshments. The fun starts at 2pm.

SINGING group Stars In Our Eyes, are currently looking for singers to join the their choir and help their fundraising efforts. The group meets at Denaby Miners Welfare. For more information, ring Yvonne on 01709 869734,

A COURSE of puppy training classes starts in Conisbrough this month. Run by professional dog trainer Anne Wileman, they take place in St Peter’s Church Hall. To book a place, call Anne on 01709 863478.

Conisbrough Baptist chapel hosts a coffee and tea morning every Thursday at the School Room from 10-11.30am.

A CAFE Garden community drop-in session is held at Mexborough Children’s Centre on Wath Road every Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am-4pm. Children must be supervised.

BRING your tots to the Play and Learn session at Mexborough Children’s Centre held on Tuesdays from 9.30-11.30am. The sessions cost 50p per child.

BRUSH-UP on your maths with a numeracy maths course to get a qualification equivalent to Grade C GCSE at the Mexborough Community Partnership building on Dolcliffe Road on Tuesdays. The free sessions runs from 9.30am-12.30pm and are for over-16s. Call 01709 582244 for details.

BECOME a computer whizz at Mexborough Community Partnership’s free computer classes up to Diploma level. Sessions held on Tuesdays, 1-5pm.

JUNIOR wardens meet at the Tom Hill Youth Centre on Tuesdays from 3-4.30pm.

A YOUTH club session for 10 to 12-year-olds takes place at the Tom Hill Centre on Tuesdays from 5-7pm. The centre also hosts a choices clinic for 13 to 19-year-olds, also from 5-7pm on Tuesdays. Call 01709 863208 for details.
