SWINTON

There will be a Bible Study and prayer meeting tonight, Thursday, at 7.30pm at Bethany Evangelical Church. The ladies group hold their prayer meeting on Tuesday morning at 9.45am and the Toddlers Play and Activities session is on Wednesday at 9.45am. The next Knit and Natter session is on Friday, February 18, from 1-3pm.

RAWMARSH

A HOLLYWOOD style Talent Night for fallen soldier James Leverett’s regiment the Royal Dragoon Guards will take place on February 12 at the Star Inn on Rawmarsh Hill. A children’s competition will run from noon to 4pm then from 7pm until late the adult competition will take place.

STEPS Productions held their second anniversary celebration at the Fitzwilliam Arms Hotel, Parkgate. Members aged eight to 19 were awarded with certificates and medals of achievements before watching DVDs of their journey with Steps.

Their next production will be Annie Warbucks at Rotherham Civic Theatre from July 18 to 20. Currently, Steps are working with police and the council to produce a DVD on bogus calling, that will be launched on April 1.

BUMPS and Babes Group meets Tuesdays from 1.30 to 3pm at Rawmarsh Children’s Centre, for parents to be and parents with children up to a year old. Meet new friends, chat and relax. Discover new toys and activities.

A BUSY Bees activity gym takes place on Fridays at Rosehill Community Hall on Kilnhurst Road from 1.30pm to 3pm. Children aged six months to four years welcome. Cost £1 per family.

CONISBROUGH

A MEDIUMSHIP night is taking place at Cromwells Pub on Church Street on Thursday, February 17, at 7pm. All proceeds to charity.

CHRISTINE’S nearly new sale takes place at The Place community centre on Friday, February 18, from 10am-noon. All proceeds go to The Place.

THE Oval TARA is holding an open day at The Place community centre on February 24 which will include a talk on ways to save household energy.

Get your pre-school children moving with a special kids’ song, dance and movement class at St Peter’s Church. The sessions are held every Friday morning from 10-11am. No need to book.

St Peter’s Church choir have now resumed their choral practise at the church, and have welcomed two new members to the group. The choir will be singing at the Baptism Services, which take place on the last Sunday of the month. Anyone wishing to join, should contact Rev. Alan Griffiths.
