Community groups in Denaby Main are being urged to come forward and tap into their share of a £20, 000 funding pot.
Organisations can apply for micro-grants of up to £500 to help finance an array of schemes thanks to a community fund set up by Doncaster Council and distributed by Doncaster West Development Trust.
All applications will be considered by a decision-making panel of residents plus representatives of DWDT and Doncaster Council.
Marisa Graziano, chief executive of DWDT, said: “These grants will help local people to influence positive developments in their own neighbourhoods and I look forward to seeing a lot of new projects take shape in the coming months.”
The initiative is part of Public Health England’s Well North project which aims to improve health and wellbeing amongst communities.
People can apply for grants to support them between now and March 2017.
Application forms are available from DWDT’s base at the Terrace on Castle Avenue in Conisbrough and the Springwell Centre in Denaby Main.
