Wath-upon-Dearne based MEP, Linda McAvan, is helping to create a jobs bonanza at a major Yorkshire power station.

The MEP (pictured with environmental consents officer at Drax Power Station, Dr Jim Doyle) met project leaders at the Station in North Yorkshire to discuss their application to build a carbon capture project, which could create 4,000 jobs.

The EU is expected to make an announcement on this in the next month, confirming if it has been successful.
