A ‘Party at Parkgate’ will kick off the annual Midnight Walk for Rotherham Hospice this evening (March 14).
From 6pm local musicians Jay Mya and Jason Quainoo will get the party started, after which the walkers taking part will begin their five or 10 mile hikes.
Fairground rides, face painting and warm-ups will all add to the occasion!
The Midnight Walk is the Hospice’s biggest fundraiser, and has brought in over £180,000 in the past three years.
Every penny raised by the Walk helps provide end-of-life care to those who need it most in Rotherham.
The Rotherham Hospice is an independent charity providing specialist palliative care, free of charge. It is there for people who suffer from life-limiting illnesses including cancer, Motor Neurone disease and heart failure, and offers support with the aim of improving the quality of life that they have left.
