DARFIELD

STRAWBERRY teas will be served at 28, Tempest Avenue, Darfield, today (Thursday) between 2 and 4pm and 6 and 8pm, all welcome, proceeds for Valley Methodist Church funds.

BROWNIES and Guides meet at Darfield Wesley Church on Tuesdays during term times.

A SIGN language course is being held at Darfield Wesley Church on Tuesdays at 9.30am.

CUDWORTH

CUDWORTH St John The Baptist Ladies Guild meets in the church on the first and third Monday of every month from 1.30-3pm, new members welcome.

A TODDLER Club will meet at Grimethorpe Pentecostal Church on Tuesday at 10am.

DRESS for Less, a charity shop run jointly by Community Partnership and Grimethorpe Pentecostal Church is open Monday to Friday from 10am-3pm.

BOLTON

A JEREMY’S Fashion sale will be held at Dearne Valley Care Centre tomorrow (Friday) from 10.30am, all welcome.

A RESIDENT of Dearne Valley Care Centre, Mr Vic Howarth, celebrated his birthday on June 3. Mrs Ethel Thorpe will celebrate her birthday next Friday.

A CREAM Tea afternoon with games was held for residents and their families at Bolton Hall Nursing Home last Wednesday.

A SPORTS day with games, raffle, bingo and tombola will be held at Bolton Hall Nursing Home from 10.30am on July 6, proceeds for Dementia Awareness. There are also plans to hold a Yorkshire Day on August 1.

A SUMMER fair will be held at Bolton Hall Nursing Home on July 16. Those wanting a stall should call Donna on 01709 881456.
