LOCAL thespian Fine Time Fontayne enjoyed rave reviews for his panto performances at Oldham’s Colosseum Theatre. Sir Ian McKellen was among those who enjoyed Fontayne’s performance as Nurse Nora in Sleeping Beauty, while visiting with Coronation Street star Antony Cotton.

GET on song with the Wombwell Mixed Voice Choir from 6.30pm each Monday at Summer Lane Methodist church.

CUDWORTH

A TODDLER Club will meet at Grimethorpe Pentecostal Church on Tuesday at 10am.

DRESS for Less, a charity shop run jointly by Community Partnership and Grimethorpe Pentecostal Church is open Monday to Friday from 10am-3pm.

A COFFEE morning will be held at Cudworth St John The Baptist Church Parish Rooms on Wednesday from 9.30am, proceeds for church funds.

CUDWORTH Methodist Male Voice Choir rehearse in Wesley Hall on alternate Fridays and Sundays at 7.15pm. The Ladies Choir rehearse on Tuesdays at 7.15pm. New members are always welcome.

A COFFEE morning for Cudworth Methodist Church funds will be held at Wesley Hall from 10.30-11.30am on Saturday. Every third Saturday in the month, Cudworth Women’s Institute will have a cake stall at the coffee morning.

BOLTON

CHILDREN from Years 5 and 6 and their parents enjoyed a Mission To Mars and Beyond Day at Highgate School last Wednesday. The session involved physical education and science on the theme of setting up a colony on the planet Mars.

PARENTS and children under the age of four are invited to attend a nursery rhyme workshop at Lacewood Primary School on Wednesdays from 8.30-9.30am during term times. The workshops are in collaboration with Creative Partnerships. For more details contact the school office.
