A GOLDTHORPE site manager has won through the first round of a national house-building competition.
Dave Mills of Ben Bailey Homes is a winner in the first round of judging for the annual NHBC (National House-Building Council) Pride in the Job Awards, and is now shortlisted for a regional title, for his Summervale development at Doncaster Road, Goldthorpe.
Pride in the Job recognises good workmanship in house-building throughout the UK, rewarding the best site managers who are responsible for managing the construction of new homes from start to finish, and who have a real influence on the quality of the finished product.
Dave was shortlisted for a first-round Quality Award from over 13,000 site managers and joins a select group of just under 450 who have excelled in twelve months of rigorous judging.
Isabel Hudson, executive chairman of NHBC said: “For over 30 years, Pride in the Job has been one of the cornerstones of NHBC’s work to improve housing standards for the benefit of home-owners.
“I congratulate Dave for his win. Anyone gaining an award against such strong competition can be very proud of their achievement.”
