Hundreds of visitors enjoyed some festive fun at the annual Conisbrough Christmas Market.

Church Street was closed to traffic for most of Saturday as scores of residents packed into the village centre to enjoy a range of activities.

Shoppers hunted for a bargain as they looked around stalls selling paintings, handbags, clothing, slate products, books, baby clothes, toys, gift wrap and cards.

They also tucked into hot and cold festive foods, while youngsters played in front of a snow machine and visited Father Christmas in his grotto.

Live music entertained the crowds throughout the day with singing from the St Peter’s Church band, followed by performances from characters from the hit Disney film Frozen and jingles from the Musical Notes singing group.

Solo artists Darren Eastell and Sam Wright also performed an acoustic set to help promote next year’s Conisbrough Music Festival.
