Van damaged in Swinton road rage incident

A van was damaged in an alleged road rage incident in Swinton.

At around 5.45pm on Saturday, February 21, a Silver Volkswagen transporter van and a blue Audi almost collided at the Woodman roundabout.

It is alleged the Audi driver then followed the Volkswagen along Warren Vale and onto Wentworth Road.

Both vehicles came to a stop on Hooton Road where the van was damaged.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police urged anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

She added: “Officers are trying to trace anyone who witnessed the incident and the manner of driving of both vehicles.

“They would also like to trace the driver of a Mitsubishi Shogun who was in the area at the time and may have been overtaken by the Audi.”
