Two people have been charged in connection with the robbery of a shop worker in Doncaster.

Police were called to Queen Mary’s Road, New Rossington, just after 4pm on Monday, July 14 following reports of a robbery.

A shop worker carrying cash to a bank was allegedly assaulted and had money taken from him.

The man suffered injuries.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with robbery, and a 33-year-old woman has been charged with possessing criminal property.

They are both due to appear before magistrates in Doncaster today (Thursday, July 17).
