Three men hurt in Doncaster pub brawl

Three men were injured in a brawl which started in a Doncaster pub and continued in the street.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the late-night altercation in Edlington last weekend.

Trouble broke out in the Tumbler pub on Broomhouse Lane in Edlington around 11.20pm on Friday, August 30,

A fight is believed to have started involving a number of men aged between 20 and 38-years-old, whicht was eventually broken up and everyone went outside.

But the fighting then re-commenced outside the pub, moving further down Broomhouse Lane and eventually onto Lilac Crescent.

The disorder resulted in injuries sustained by a number of the men involved, including one man who suffered a fractured eye socket and jaw and a depressed skull fracture, and two other men needed stitches for head wounds and facial cuts and grazes.

A spokesman for The Tumbler said: “We are working with the police to assist with their investigation. This is not a regular occurrence in the pub and we do not condone this type of violence.”

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident in the pub, or afterwards in the street, to call 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 1479 of August 30.
