A teenage boy is due in court today over a spate of arson attacks in Rotherham.
The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged overnight with five counts of arson and one count of theft.
South Yorkshire Police said the incidents relate to fires involving a mini bus at Wath Comprehensive School on Monday, September 28 and four cars found burning in Wath on Thursday, October 15.
Detective Sergeant Iain Martin, from Rotherham’s Local Policing Unit, said: “We’d like to thank the public for their co-operation and to everyone who has come forward to help with the investigation.
“Our enquiries will continue and we remain keen to speak to anyone who may hold information about the reported incidents.”
