Six boys quizzed by police over spate of arson attacks in Rotherham

Six boys have been arrested in connection with a spate of arson attacks across Maltby

The teenagers, aged between 15 and 17, were quizzed about a fire at a garage on Blyth Road, where a number of vehicles were set alight in the early hours of Friday, December 5.

On the same morning a camper van and a Vauxhall Astra van were set alight on Millicent Gardens and the flames spread to read to nearby properties.

In another arson attack that morning a caravan parked on a driveway on Mortimer Road was damaged.

Police said nobody was injured in any of the incidents.

The six suspects have been bailed pending further inquiries.
